WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE 7

What happens when we die 7

I promised that from here on we will stay with Scripture. Please read this carefully and when you are done, start again with your Bible and a book by your side. Check the scriptures and when a question arises, write it down to see if you will get answers on it. (I'm using the New King James.)

I promise you, your boat will be rocked at the least.

This portion deals with the state of the dead; that is, can they see, think, hear, visit somebody, etc.

Psalm 146:4 "His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; in that very day his plans perish".

The psalmist says in the previous verses that he will praise the Lord while he is alive. He recognised that when he is dead there will be no praising. You cannot put your trust in man because because man can die before you and then can do nothing about his promises, his plans. All our plans end when we die. The older King James Version says, "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish". If you cannot think, you cannot plan, you cannot convey a message to somebody or choose to visit him.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going".

Again there is this idea that you cannot work or think when you are dead. So can the dead be called up by a medium? Can the dead visit you? Can the dead advice you? Does the dead (ancestors) care about rituals to apeace them? Can the dead warn you? NO!!!

1 Corinthians 15:29 "Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptizes for the dead?"

Some denominations have services for the dead, where there will be prayers on behalf of the dead and even baptisms. The Bible questions this very ritual. Dead people cannot appreciate these prayers or baptisms because, according to the Word of God, they cannot rise again. You cannot "seal" the dead; the dead cannot be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 "For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and they have no reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.

Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; nevermore will they have a share an anything done under the sun".

This is basically a repeat of the fact that the dead knows nothing. The Bible says they cannot love or hate, they are not jealous or does not envy- they will have no feelings; in fact they will never have part of this world again.

Psalm 6:5 "For in death there is no remembrance of You; in the grave who will give You thanks?"

The psalmist recognises that he needs God now while he is still alive. After he dies he would not be able to call on the Lord for help or thank Him. He will have no cognitive thinking.

Psalm 88:10-12 "Will You work wonders for the dead? Shall the dead arise and praise You? Selah.

Shall Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in the place of destruction?

Shall Your wonders be known in the dark? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?"

These are questions asked in dispair. The psalmist does not really want answers; he knows the answer to all those questions. Do you now know the answer to those questions?

Psalm 115:17 "The dead do not praise the Lord, nor any who go down into silence".

Job 7:9-10 "As the cloud disappears and vanishes away, so he who goes down to the grave does not come up.

He shall never return to his house, nor shall his place know him anymore".

Did you ever have a visitation from your beloved father, mother, brother, sister or friend? It could not have been him/her. The Bible says "he wil never return to his house". So if it was not from God? You answer that.

The devil is tricking us into believing that there is life after death. Just because we heard our beloveds voice, see him/her, experienced his/her presence, it does not mean that we were not deceived. Any believe that there is in afterlife is necromancy; the lie that started in the garden of Eden; "you shall not surely die". The dead is dead!!

I am sure that there are many more questions left unanswered on your side. Just hang in there, they might still be answered. This is not the end of the lecture yet.
