What happens when we die 5
My previous section dealt with King Saul, getting involved in necromancy (communication with the dead). Read it if you have not yet. I have discovered this verse on Saul afterwards and think it is important.
1 Chronicles 10:13 "So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord, and also because he consulted a MEDIUM for guidance".
So many Christians practice necromancy unknowingly because they believe that they are hearing from their late loved ones. Unfortunately it is not true. satan is a deceiver.
2 Cor 11:14 "......... For satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light".
Eph 5:11 "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them".
Let us take heed my brother and sister. If a family member of you takes part in this form of idolatry, speak to them, show them the scriptures.
Here are some scriptures on the subject:
Lev 19:31 "Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits, do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God".
2 Kings 21:6 "Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger".
Isaiah 8:19 "And when they say to you, 'Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter', should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?"
There are many more scriptures on this topic. It is a serious issue to God.
The following quote is from a website which I will not give you the webaddress of, because it deals with this topic from satanists view point, and I will only quote the introductary sentence: "The blackest of all the black arts is undoubtedly necromancy, the ancient method of communication with the dead".
Necromancy is sometimes referred to as nigromancy; with nigro a play on black, as in black magic.
SHOCKER!! In 1997 Benny Hinn entered the world of necromancy to enhance his ministry. Kathryn Kuhlman, a late faith healer, became his spirit guide. He claimed that Kuhlman and Jesus (in that order), have shown him the future of his ministry. This revelation was made by himself at a Partner Conference in Atlanta on 11 June 1997.
When I was younger there was a song with the lyrics, "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know". It make sense now.
I had enough of this dark subject but want to leave you with the following questions. Thin ice but necessary.
1. Is your church practising necromancy by having services for the dead?
2. Do you practise necromancy by having another, now dead, mediator in the form of a saint or Mary?
3. Do you practise necromancy by ancestoral worship?
